These wonderful critters that we call Australian Labradoodles by Barksdale being part Labrador (playful, loyal), part Poodle (brainy and low shedding), and part Spaniel (determined working dogs) make wonderful pets, canine assist, and special companions. Barksdale is specializing in Australian Labradoodles that are multi-generational. Temperament, health, and allergy friendly, non-shedding coats are the priorities we will always strive for in our Barksdale’s.

Australian Labradoodles by Barksdale – Allergies

Since 2005 Barksdale has developed its Multi-Generation lines to favor a low to no-shedding coat. Though no dog is truly hypoallergenic, this makes an Australian Labradoodle an allergy-friendly dog. Australian Labradoodles are not the same as other “doodles.”

Australian Labradoodles by Barksdale Temperament

Barksdale’s first “Smooch” and his exceptionalism enticed us to develop this wonderful breed. They are not just Doodles or labradoodles but they are Australian Labradoodles. Temperament and the potential for Service and Therapy are the important benefits of a Barksdale labradoodle.

ALAA Verified Pedigree:

Why is this so important? In an age with advanced technology and means of sharing, it has become easier for falsifications, forgeries, and identity theft to take place. This highly sought after breed has created opportunities for unscrupulous, untrained, and dishonest breeders to copy a pedigree and represent it as their own. Purchasing a puppy from Barksdale, an ALAA breeder, offers our families the peace of mind that comes with a verified pedigree. An ALAA Verified Pedigree provides accuracy, protection, and peace of mind and should be the starting point of your search for a puppy.

A Labradoodle is a Foundation for the Australian Labradoodle.

  • Barksdale Labradoodles are all either Pure or Multi-Generation with no infusions in recent generations.

Barksdale Australian Labradoodle

The Australian Labradoodle carries the DNA of the Labrador, Poodle and Cocker Spaniel (American or English). The resulting offspring share characteristics, though some pairings of parent dogs will produce a more mixed litter. Australian Barksdale Multigen Australian Labradoodles typically have a non-shedding coat (again, as much as any dog can be non-shedding) if both parents are non-shedding.
